2024 BAR COMPETITIONS

Competition are points based – the higher the placing in an event, the more points the rider gets (highest awarded points being 120). So for example, during the 2023 season, Lewis Wake won the Hilly 21 so got 120 points, Adam Smith came second and got 119 points etc.
The women simply get their points allocated as per their finishing position in the race, so the fastest Woman wouldn’t get 120 points the same as Lewis.
For this year’s competition, riders will have to complete 3 Short Events, 2 Medium Events and 1 Long event – they can do more, but Spindata will just take their best scores from each distance.

All individual Open TTs held during the normal TT season count towards the BAR – the last event being the Vags 100 and Barnesbury 25 on Sunday 1st September, after which we move into the Hill Climb season.
Riders also have to do a marshalling/volunteering stint. This can include marshalling at either an Open or Club event, putting out signage, photography, being a race organiser etc.
TIME TRIAL SEASON
- Veteran Female BAR – all affiliated female vets receive points based on their finish position in each race they enter.
- Veteran Male BAR – all affiliated male vets receive points based on their finish position in each race they enter.
- Female BAR – all affiliated women receive points.
- Male BAR – all affiliated men receive points.
- Female Road Bike BAR – all affiliated riders who enter the N&DCA road bike competition on the day receive points.
- Male Road Bike BAR – all affiliated riders who enter the N&DCA road bike competition on the day receive points.
- Junior Female BAR
- Junior Male BAR
- Team BAR – Best overall team of three from aggregated points for qualified riders.
- Female Team BAR – Best overall Team of two from aggregated points from qualified riders.
- Veterans Team BAR – Best overall team of three from aggregated points for qualified veteran riders.
CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS
In addition to the BAR awards, N&DCA also presents trophies and awards for the fastest Male, Female and Veteran Riders in all of the distance Championships over 10, 25, 50 & 100 miles.
There is also a trophy for the fastest all male and all female team in the designated Team Championship (this year it will be the 3 Up TTT).
To win the Team Champs award – all riders must ride for the same Club.
