Club events (sometimes referred to as Type B events) are the entry level of the sport of time trialling. Typically, you turn up on the day, sign on, pay your entry fee, pin on the number provided and race. Unlike Open events, the field isn’t seeded – you take your turn according to when you signed on.
Northumberland has three regular club events hosted by Derwentside CC, Barnesbury CC and Tyneside Vagabonds respectively. The 2025 dates for all Open and Club events can be found on the Cycling Time Trials website via the link below:
Sign On Details – sign on usually opens 45 to 60 minutes before the first rider is due off.
Derwentside CC: Sign on at the The Manor House Inn, Carterway Heads, Northumberland, DH8 9LX (just off the A68). Cost £5
Barnesbury CC: Sign on at north end of Colbourne Avenue, Nelson Industrial Estate, Cramlington, NE23 1WD. Cost £5
Tyneside Vagabonds: Merton Rd, Ponteland, Newcastle upon Tyne NE20 9PY. Cost £5
